I began my weight struggles as a teenager. I visited my Mother for a summer and gained 30 lbs. In High school, embarrassed of my new body, I attempted diet after diet trying to get the weight off. Every time feeling more like a failure and continuing to gain extra weight. Starting high school at 160lbs and continuing to gain year after year. Graduating high school I weighed around 185 lbs. By the time I finished my first semester in college I topped in at 195 lbs. At only 5’4’’ this wasn’t healthy. My confidence was fading fast! I was determined to make forward progress and began moderate exercise and weight watchers. I saw minimal forward progress but forward progress none the less.
